September 2017

12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Say goodbye to summer and reconnect with SCRWP friends! This is a great time to share ideas for what you think would make SCRWP great this year. Whether this is your first event with us or you are a regular, we want to hear what you have to say, and just hang out!

We will be meeting near the entrance gate (near 39.948848, -75.203161). We'll provide the lunch, but please bring your own blankets and beverages!

March 2017

4:15 pm - 10:15 pm

Join us to discuss thought-provoking articles on racism and anti-racist work. No prior knowledge on these topics is required. White folks, who may have thought less about these issues, are especially encouraged to attend. All participants must come committed to doing anti-racist work, including challenging how racism has affected your own thoughts and behaviors. The goal is to gain a clearer understanding of the effects of racism on society at all levels and how to combat its virulent hold over ourselves and our culture.

Niunamenos, which translates to Not One Woman Less is the mass mobilization that began as a response to the multiple deaths of women in Latin America. The premise is that of the protection of women’s life from the daily violence suffered as a consequence of a heavily entrenched patriarchal system. In hopes of echoing the movement we wish to address sexual and relationship violence on campus and what we can do as bystanders.

9:00 pm - 11:00 pm

We have an excellent list of faculty moderators, a surprise debut of a special National Academy of Sciences art exhibit, a fun group activity and plans for great conversation. All this over dinner & dessert! Join us, 6-8pm 3/22/17 WEB Du Bois MPR Room. Please RSVP, share and spread the word!

11:30 am - 8:30 pm

This time, we promise you something DIFFERENT.
